Save-a-Pet

Tanglewood Pet Motel is proud to be a partner with Save-A-Pet, in the promotion of no more homeless pets and bringing Houston County into a no-kill shelter. We promote the spay and neuter program that reduces the number of animals forced to live on the streets. Save-A-Pet began in 2003. We joined the organization in the spring of 2005.

This small group of dedicated volunteers has saved over 700 pet lives, from almost every county in Alabama . Many pets have found homes here in Alabama and others have found homes through other no-kill shelters in the United States .

Tanglewood Pet Motel takes healthy kittens, and puppies under eight- weeks of age and prepares them for adoptive homes. We also take expectant mothers…If you are looking for a puppy, we may have the right one for you. If we don't then perhaps one of the other foster homes will have just what you want. These sweet little babies are looking only to love and be loved.

Donations can be made to Save-A-Pet at any CB&T Bank or through Tanglewood Pet Motel.

We are also in need of more volunteers along with drivers, foster homes, a website designer and manager, public relation manager, and fundraiser manager and of course your support.

We are involved with this campaign because we believe that it is a sad day when a dog or a cat has to be destroyed simply because they were thrown away. These animals have a lot of love to give and only want your love in return. For more information on Save-A-Pet please call us at 334-677-7485 or email us at kari@tanglewoodpetmotel.com .

On our Resources webpage you will find a link to another no-kill shelter in Price, Utah . Best Friends has become the largest no kill shelter in the United States .
